Sophomore Molly Flowers fired a no hitter with 11 strikeouts as the University of Maine softball team blanked UMass-Lowell in their home opener at Kessock Field 8-0 on Friday afternoon.
Flowers (8-6) allowed three baserunners all on walks in her five innings as the game was shortened due to the mercy rule.
