Well it was a very successful first year of picking the College Hockey games. This past weekend I finished off the season by correctly picking the Frozen Four as North Dakota took home the title with a win over Quinnipiac. It was the eighth National Championship for the team now known as the Fighting Hawks (formerly the Sioux). It was also their first since the year 2000. Quinnipiac is now 0-2 in title games.
Should be an exciting off season of College Hockey as teams look to build to get themselves to the 2017 Frozen Four. Our hometown Maine Black Bears are coming off just an eight win year but extended the contract of current coach Red Gendron in hopes we can rebuild the winning tradition.
Overall I finished 43 games over the .500 mark. That would be almost considered a College Hockey expert. Until next year, hope everyone enjoyed the weekly installments.
