The Boston Red Sox announced today that they have put Carson Smith on the 15 day DL with a right elbow ailment. They have also put Brock Holt on the seven day concussion disabled list.
They Red Sox called up Blake Swihart (C/LF) and Noe Ramirez (RP). With Holt struggling recently, look for Swihart to be given the opportunity in the next week to take over the left field position.
