Terry Francona, Mike Napoli, and the Cleveland Indians will be at Fenway Park for a three game series this weekend. The series will feature two of the bright young shortstops in the league. Francisco Lindor is hitting .329 with three homers, 17 RBI, and seven stolen bases for the Indians. Xander Bogaerts is hitting .339 with four homers, 22 RBI, and six stolen bases for the Red Sox. Bogaerts (23), Lindor (22), and Carlos Correa (21) of the Houston Astros will be ones to watch at the shortstop position for years to come.
The Red Sox will honor their new hall of fame class featuring Jason Varitek, Tim Wakefield, and Larry Lucchino before Friday night’s game. As for the games that will be played, the Red Sox will have to face the Indians ace in Corey Kluber on Friday night and their hottest pitcher in Danny Salazer on Sunday afternoon.
