Beckett Slayton hit a walk off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the George Stevens Eagles baseball team to an 8-7 win over Houlton in the class C north baseball regional final at Mansfield stadium on Tuesday evening.
That sets up a state title clash with Sacopee Valley. D.J. Shea drilled a ball to deep center to help the Hawks come back from a two run deficit in the seventh inning and get a 7-6 walk off win over Lisbon in the class C south championship game.
The first pitch of the class C state title game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph’s college in Standish.
