The Skowhegan Indians defeated Messalonskee 3-2 in the class A North regional final Wednesday afternoon at Hampden Academy. The Indians will be playing in an amazing 16th straight state title game on Saturday against Massabesic. They have won 13 state championships during that span.
The defending class C state champs from Maine Central Institute got two goals from Addi Williams in a 3-0 regional final victory over Winthrop in the second game at Hampden Academy. MCI will play Oak Hill in the state final on Saturday.
Belfast ended the day at Hampden with a 2-0 class B regional final victory over Lawrence. The Lions will play York in the state final on Saturday. All state final field hockey games will be played at McMann field in Bath. Follow Eastern Maine Sports for updates on game times.
