Bruins get shootout win over Carolina

David Pastrnak scored the clinching goal in lifting the Boston Bruins to a 2-1 shootout win over the Carolina Hurricanes at the TD Garden on Thursday night.

Torey Krug scored the game tying goal in the third period. Ryan Spooner opened the shootout with a goal for the Bruins. Pastrnak scored his goal. Goalie Anton Khudobin made the save that secured the victory.

Khudobin recorded 29 saves in goal. It is the first victory for the Bruins this season in a game Tuukka Rask wasn’t in goal.
