Liam McMillan and Barrett Grant scored 12 points each to help the Searsport Vikings boys basketball team squeak out a 38-37 season opening win at Bucksport on Friday night.
The game was tied at 30 after three quarters. McMillian and Grant scored all eight points in the final quarter. Searsport shot 8-12 from the free throw line.
Tanner Stegner led the Bucks with 11 points, Chase Carmichael added eight points. Bucksport shot 1-2 from the free throw line.
