Bryce Gilbert scored 33 points to lead the Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) Pirates to a 57-48 win at Schenck on Saturday night. Damyan True added 16 points as the Pirates knocked off one of the class C preseason favorites.
Schenck was picked second in the Class C North preseason predictions. PCHS (1-0) will host George Stevens on Tuesday. The live audio broadcast of that contest will start at 6:50. George Stevens is the defending class C state champion and the preseason pick this season.
