DEXTER– The Dexter Tigers went on a 9-0 and 13-0 run in the first half and cruised to a 49-26 class C boys basketball victory over Schenck at Ed Guiski gymnasium on Friday night.
Schenck jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Dexter went on a 9-0 run to take a 9-4 lead. Justin Thompson made a short jumper to make it 9-6. The Tigers went on an 18-3 run to end the half and tske a commanding 27-9 advantage.
Zach White led the Tigers with 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. William Strauch added nine points, while Jason Campbell scored eight points all in the first half. Joshua Simcock put in seven points, Brayden Miller filled up the stat sheet with six points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Jacob Bickford finished out the scoring with three points and one point respectively. Dexter (3-0) will play at Central on Tuesday.
Justin Thompson led the Wolverines with 16 points, 15 rebounds, and two steals, Travis Thompson added five points and seven rebounds. Chris King and Riley Dionne finished out the scoring with three and two points respectively. Schenck (0-3) will host Katahdin on Tuesday.
