Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. This week, we had 18 Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Taylor Schildroth averaged 23 points in three games in the class C Northern Maine regional tournament. It is the second straight regional championship for the Eagles. This is the sixth athlete of the week honor for Schildroth.

Taylor Schildroth- George Stevens – basketball- recoded 29 points, five rebounds, and three steals in 60-31 class C semifinal win over Dexter. Scored 26 points in 59-45 regional final win over Fort Fairfield.

Nolan Altvater- Southern Aroostook- basketball- recorded 20 points, eight rebounds, and two assists in 73-50 class D quarterfinal win over Greater Houlton Christian. Scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 57-33 class D semifinal win over Central Aroostook. Scored 18 points in 43-31 class D regional final win over Southern Aroostook.

Christopher Giberson- Fort Fairfield- basketball- recorded 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in 66-43 class C quarterfinal win over PCHS. Had 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 60-50 semifinal win over Schenck.
Bryce Gilbert- PCHS- basketball- recorded 17 points, six rebounds, five assists, and four steals in 66-43 class C quarterfinal losss to Fort Fairfield.
