Chris Lessner will be in Portland at the Cross Insurance Arena this Saturday and Sunday providing live updates of the 2017 America East Womens basketball Tournament.
Chris will provide live scoring updates on the Eastern Maine Sports Twitter page, and a full recap for the University of Maine game (s), as well as a video update of other results as each day ends. The quarterfinal round begins Saturday at noon when top seed UNH faces #8 Stony Brook.
Maine (16-15, 9-7), will go in as the fourth seed and will face fifth seeded Binghamton at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The two teams split the regular season series, with each team winning on their home court.
The other two quarterfinal games feature #2 Albany vs #7 Vermont at 6 p.m. and then #3 UMBC vs #6 Hartford at 8:30 p.m.
The semifinals take place Sunday. The winner of UNH-Stony Brook will play the winner of Maine-Binghamton at 2 p.m., while the Albany-Vermont winner faces winner of UMBC-Hartford at 4:30 p.m.
The highest remaining seed of the two semifinal winners will host the America East championship game on their home court on Friday, March 10th at 4:30 p.m.
All quarterfinal and semifinal games can be seen on ESPN 3, with the championship game to be covered by ESPN 2.
