The Boston Celtics had five players finish in double figures as they held off a Washington Wizards rally to pick up a 110-102 win on Monday night at the TD Garden.
Isaiah Thomas scored 25 points to lead the way. Thomas missed the previous two games with injury.
Avery Bradley recorded 20 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Jae Crowder and Al Horford each had 16 points and nine rebounds. Horford also had five assists. Marcus Smart added 10 points.
The win put the Celtics 2.5 games ahead of the Wizards for then second seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Boston Bruins fell at Toronto 4-2 on Monday Night. The Maple Leafs scored three goals in the third period.
The Bruins have 10 games remaining in the regular season. They will continue to play for their playoff lives when they host the Senators on Tuesday night.
