Nikita Kucherov recorded a hat trick, including two goals in the third period to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 6-3 win over the Boston Bruins at the TD Garden on Thursday night.
The Bruins held three different one goal leads in the second period. The Lightning scored four unanswered goals, including three in the final period.
The Bruins are currently two points ahead of the Islanders and three points ahead of the Lightning for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Bruins have lost three straight and have a huge game with the Islanders on Saturday night.
