Ben Walls fired a three hitter in leading the Husson baseball team to a 3-1 win over Norwich in the Eagles home opener on Saturday afternoon.
Walls allowed one run, one walk, while striking out three. Walls (3-0) has thrown a complete game in each of his three appearances on the mound so far this season. He has walked three, struck out 13, and has an ERA of 3.00 in 21 innings. Conor Maguire had two hits, two runs scored, and a triple in the victory for the Eagles.
Husson fell 7-3 to Norwich in game two. Ryan Rebar went 3-3 for the Eagles, while Christian Corneil had two hits. Husson (5-5) will host Bates on Tuesday afternoon.
