The University of Maine softball team swept a double header at Sacred Heart on Saturday afternoon in their first games played in the Eastern Time zone this season.
The Black Bears won game one by a score of 3-2 behind a two run home run from Maddison Decker and 2.2 innings of scoreless relief from Annie Kennedy.
Molly Flowers pitched a four hit complete game shutout as the Black Bears rolled to a 4-0 win in game two. Flowers walked three and struck out seven.
Maine (5-17) will play a three game series at Boston University next weekend.
