A’Ja Wilson had 23 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks Sunday evening to lead the South Carolina Gamecocks to a 67-55 win over Mississippi State in the womens basketball national championship game in Dallas, Texas.
Allisha Gray had 18 points and Kaela Davis also chipped in 10, as the Gamecocks beat their SEC foe for the third time this season to capture the first womens basketball championship in school history with a final overall record of 33-4.
Victoria Vivians had 12 points and Dominique Dillingham had 11 as the only double digit scorers for Mississippi State, who finishes their season at 34-5, that included a historic upset of UConn in the national semifinal game.
