Benintendi sparks Sox to Patriots Day win over Rays

Andrew Benintendi had three hits and two RBI to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday morning.

Steven Wright settled down after allowing two unearned runs in the first inning of the annual Patriots Day contest at Fenway Park.

Mookie Betts had two hits and one RBI. Betts has gone 123 straight plate appearances without a strikeout. 

Robbie Ross JR, Ben Taylor, Robby Scott, Heath Hembree, and Craig Kimbrel pitched three innings of scoreless relief. Kimbrel has now recorded saves in three straight days. Kimbrel has got seven strikeouts in three innings in those appearances.
