The Boston Red Sox pounded out 15 hits to help Brian Johnson pick up his first major league victory as the Red Sox held on for an 8-7 win at Toronto.
Mookie Betts had three hits and three runs scored, including his first home run of the season. Mitch Moreland had three hits and three RBI, including his league leading 10th double of the season. Pablo Sandoval also had three hits.
Johnson allowed four runs in five innings. Heath Hembree pitched two scoreless innings. Matt Barnes allowed three runs in the ninth inning, but closed the door to give the Red Sox their fourth win in a row.
