With three weeks left in the high school baseball regular season, only four teams are still undefeated. Josh Perry pitched six shutout innings plus drove home the only run in a 1-0 Nokomis victory over Oceanside on Wednesday. The Warriors are 7-0 and have only allowed 13 runs in seven games with six of those runs in an 8-6 victory over Waterville. Nokomis is currently second in the Maine Principals’ Association class B heal point standings. Old Town is first with a 6-2 record.
George Stevens is 7-0 and at the top of the class C standings. The Eagles will have five games in the next eight days, including games on three consecutive days starting next Thursday. Eastern Maine Sports will have live audio of George Stevens at Dexter on Friday, May 19th.
Katahdin and Fort Fairfield are both 6-0 in class D North. They sit second and third in the heal point standings. Woodland is at the top with a 5-1 record. Katahdin will play a doubleheader at Deer-Isle Stonington on Saturday. Fort Fairfield will play at Madawaska this afternoon.
