Drew Pomeranz has had his struggles recently. That wasn’t the case on Thursday night as the Red Sox defeated the Texas Rangers 6-2 to complete a three game sweep at Fenway Park.

Pomeranz allowed two runs on four hits and one walk, while striking out 11 in six innings. The Red Sox pitching staff struck out 20, including Craig Kimbrel striking out four in the ninth inning.

Xander Bogaerts and Deven Marrero each had their first home run of the season. Bogaerts, Mitch Moreland, and Christian Vazquez had two hits each.
