Eduardo Nunez drilled a three run home run off Andrew Miller in the sixth inning to give the Red Sox a 9-7 lead.
The Indians scored three runs in their final two at bats to take a 10-9 lead.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Rafael Devers hit a one out single. With two outs, Moreland struck out, but the ball went to the backstop, so he reached first.
Vazquez brought home Devers and Moreland with the most dramatic hit so far this season for the Red Sox.
Nunez and three hits and four RBI. Vazquez had three hits and three runs scored. Mookie Betts, Brock Holt, Devers, and Moreland recorded two hits each.
