Avery Herrick recorded two goals and an assist to lead the Dexter Tigers girls soccer team to a 5-3 win over Penquis at Milo on Tuesday afternoon.
Herrick has had four goals and three assists as the Tigers have started the season with two wins.
The game went back and forth being tied at one, two, and three. Hannah Dorman scored the go ahead goal to give the Tigers a 4-3 lead with 5:54 remaining. Herrick added an insurance goal with 57 seconds remaining.
Danielle Cummings recorded one goal and two assists, while Caitlyn Hardy added one goal.
Dexter coach Jody Grant said, “to go on the road this early and get a win was terrific for us.”
Camryn Rolfe scored two goals for the Patriots, while Cymeria Robshaw added one.
Katelyn Bolstridge recorded 17 saves on 29 shots for the Patriots. Addyson Herrick made 11 saves on 20 shots for the Tigers.
