The University of Maine football team learned Thursday that their contest at FBS opponent Central Florida on September 30th has been cancelled.
Because of Hurricane Irma and scheduling conflicts Central Florida announced they wouldn’t be able to keep the date with the Black Bears.
1-1 Maine is on a bye this week before facing the #1 team in FCS and CAA opponent James Madison on the road next Saturday. Maine will now have another off week on September 30th, before hitting the road for another conference game October 7th against Villanova. Maine finally returns home for homecoming on October 14th against Rhode Island.
Maine has one more game scheduled against an FBS team when they play UMass at Fenway Park on November 11th.
