Drew Pomeranz had a rare rough outing as the Boston Red Sox fell 6-4 to the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday night at Fenway Park.
Pomeranz allowed five runs in two innings. Even more concerning, Pomeranz fastball was only topping out at 89 MPH.
Mookie Betts and Eduardo Nunez each had to leave the game with injuries.
Andrew Benintendi came off the bench to hit a home run. Betts had two hits and two RBI. including going over 100 RBI on the season.
The Red Sox are four games up on the Yankees in the American League East and have a magic number of three with six games left.
