Drew Pomeranz pitched six strong innings and Mookie Betts hit a solo homer as the Boston Red Sox clinched the American Leagie East with a 6-3 win over the Houston Astros on Saturday afternoon.
It is the first time in club history that the Red Sox have won two straight division titles.
The Red Sox will open up a best of five division series at Houston against the Astros on Thursday.
