Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 234 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had 10 Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Kolleen Bouchard had seven goals in three games to help the Houlton girls soccer team remain undefeated. Bouchard has 26 goals and eight assists to lead the Shires who are at the top of the class C standings. Bouchard edged out teammate Tessa Soloman for this week’s honor. It is the 12th time Bouchard has earned athlete of the week.
The Charles Inn Female athlete of the week
- Kolleen Bouchard – Houlton- Soccer- had a goal in 3-0 victory over # 2 Orono. Scored three goals and had an assist in Houlton’s 5-0 victory over Fort Kent. Had a hat trick in 11-0 win over Lee.
Runner up
- Tessa Solomon- Houlton- Soccer- recorded her 8th shutout in 3-0 win over Orono. Had eight saves in 5-1 win over Fort Kent. The goal by Fort Kent ended a 559 minutes shutout streak. Solomon has allowed only four girls this season for the 11-0 Shires.

- Tiana Cyr- John Bapst – field hockey- recorded a hat trick in 8-0 win over PCHS.
- Megan McDonald- Highview Christian – soccer- stopped all 47 shots she faced in win over Valley and 0-0 tie against Shead.
- Sydney Allen- Central- Soccer- scored two goals and one assist in 4-0 win over Bucksport. Had three goals and one assist in 7-2 win over Dexter.
- Jenna Clukey- Foxcroft – Soccer- recorded two goals and two assists in 8-1 win over PCHS.
- Cymeria Robshaw- Penquis- Soccer- recorded a hat trick in 4-2 win over Schenck.
- Kaitlyn Webber- Dexter – field hockey- scored two goals in 2-1 win over Foxcroft. Had two goals and two assists in 4-0 win over Orono.
- Carly Warn- Winslow- Soccer- scored two goals in 3–1 win over Gardiner.
- Hannah Nadeau- Madawaska – Soccer- scored five goals in 5-2 win over Central Aroostook.
