Dillion Drew scores 5 to help PCHS earn home tourney game: Audio Replay included

GUILFORD- The Piscataquis Community High School (PCHS) Pirates needed a win on Tuesday to get another home game this season.

Dillion Drew made sure he and his senior teammates got another game on the Pirates home field in Guilford. Drew scored five goals to lead PCHS to a 5-1 win over Dexter. The Pirates finished the regular season with a 7-6-1 record. They will host Sumner in a Maine Principals’ Association class C preliminary round game on Saturday.

The Tigers took a 1-0 lead on a Bud Sathtachotinun goal with 18:11 left in the first half. Drew took over from there. Drew scored two goals in the first half as the Pirates had a one goal lead at halftime. Drew had a second half hat trick to complete his five goal day. Bryce Gilbert had two assists. Sean Kimball had five saves on 10 shots.

Trevor Richards had one assist, while Brett Kusneirz recorded 13 saves on 27 shots in goal for the Tigers. Dexter (7-5-2) will host Houlton in a class C quarterfinal game on Wednesday, October 25th.
