Celtics get back to .500 with easy win over Knicks

Al Horford recorded a double double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, and three other Celtics scored 20 or more points to lead Boston to an easy 110-89 win over the New York Knicks Tuesday night at TD Garden.

Jaylen Brown led Boston (2-2) with 23 points on his 21st birthday. Jayson Tatum had 22, and Kyrie Irving 20 as the Celtics marched out to a 54-33 halftime lead and never looked back to win their second consecutive game.

New York (0-3) was led by Enes Canter who also managed a double double with 16 points and 19 rebounds. Courtney Lee added 13, and Kristaps Porzingis added 12.

The Celtics are back in action Thursday night at Milwaukee, with tipoff scheduled for 8 p.m.
