The Maine Principals’ Association field hockey state championship games were played on Saturday at Falmouth high school.
The dynasty known as Skowhegan defeated Westbrook 2-1 in the class A game. Skowhegan is 15-2 in state games in the last 17 years. They have won 18 state titles overall.
Addi Williams recorded a hat trick to lead MCI to a 5-0 win over York in the class B game. It is the second state championship in three years for the Huskies. This is their first title in class B. They won the 2015 title in class C, and finished runner up in 2016.
In the class C game, St. Dom’s got by Winthrop 3-2 in the second overtime. St. Dom’s finished as the only undefeated team in the state.
