Kyrie helps C’s to ninth straight, Bruins knock off Wild

Kyrie Irving had 35 points, and Jayson Tatum knocked down a late three-pointer as the Boston Celtics held off the Atlanta Hawks 110-107 in Atlanta Monday night to win their ninth straight game.

Tatum finished with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Al Horford finished one assist shy of a triple double with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists. Dennis Schroder led the 2-9 Hawks with 23 points.

Boston (9-2), will be back in action Wednesday night at home as they host the Los Angeles Lakers at 8 p.m.

 

The Boston Bruins used five different goal scorers Monday night to top the Minnesota Wild 5-3 at TD Garden in Boston.

Jake Debrusk, Frank Vatrano, Sean Kuraly, Torey Krug, and Tim Schaller all scored to helped the Bruins improve to 6-4-3 on the season. Tuuka Rask stopped 24 of 27 shots to earn the win in the Bruins net.

Minnesota (5-6-2) got goals from Nino Niederreiter, Mikael Granlund, and Eric Staal. Boston returns to action Wednesday on the road to battle the NY Rangers at 8 p.m.
