We all can agree, it is a very exciting time to be a Celtics fan. This week, the Celtics faced some pretty tough competition. First, they faced and defeated the reigning World champs, the Golden State Warriors. The Celtics got down in that game by 17 in the third quarter, but they clawed their way back in and got the win 92-88.
A similar theme continued through the next two games the Celtics played against the Hawks and the Mavericks. Against the Hawks, the Celtics trailed by 16 points and against the Mavs, the C’s trailed by as many as 13 points in the 4th quarter, and the C’s stomped back to bring that game into overtime and still come out with a victory. On Wednesday however, the Celtics went to visit the Heat and unfortunately, the winning streak was snapped in a hard-fought loss. That, however, did not discourage this versatile Boston team as they played the Magic on Friday night and the Celtics fought strong and unified and restarted the winning streak as they dominated the game.
This Celtics team now 17-3 on the season, have had a wide-spread of scoring throughout their starting lineup, and the bench. Showing up for the Celtics include Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Terry Rozier, Marcus Morris, Marcus Smart, and Al Horford. This Celtics team is extremely strong this season and I believe it is partly because of the number of players that are all scoring in each game. With all of these men scoring and it makes it incredibly difficult for the opposing teams’ defense to defend everyone perfectly. If the Celtics continue to play the way they are now and continue to distribute the scoring to seven or eight players in each game, I think Celtics nation will see this team go extremely far this season.
Let’s take a look at their schedule for the next week or so:
11/25 -Indiana Pacers
11/27 -Detriot Pistons
11/30 -Philadelphia 76ers
12/2 -Pheonix Suns
Make sure to catch the Celtics in action on these dates, you won’t be disappointed.
