In a back and forth game Monday night at TD Garden in Boston, the Celtics couldn’t overcome turnovers and the hot shooting Pistons as Detroit came away with a 118-108 win.
Tobias Harris led the 13-6 Pistons with 31 points and eight rebounds. Andre Drummond had a huge game with 26 points, 22 rebounds, and six assists. The Pistons shot 52 percent from the floor, including 11-25 from three point land.
Boston (18-4), was led by Marcus Smart who poured in 23 points (including 6-9 from three point range). Kyrie Irving had 18 points, four rebounds, and nine assists. The Celtics turned it over 18 times, compared to just eight for the Pistons. The Celtics also stuggled from the foul line at 12-21, while the Pistons were 19-23.
Boston will host Philadelphia on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
