The New England Patriots eight game winning streak and 14 game road winning streak came to an end Monday night. Miami dominated at times and came out with a 27-20 win at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
Kenyon Drake ran for 114 yards on 25 carries, and veteran quarterback Jay Cutler passed for 263 yards and three touchdowns, as the Dolphins kept their slim playoff hopes alive improving to 6-7. Drake also had 79 receiving yards to help the Dolphins avenge a 35-17 loss two weeks ago in Foxborough.
Tom Brady had a tough night, finishing with 210 yards with a touchdown. New England (10-3), had a tough time blocking the pass rush as Brady was under pressure throughout, as he was sacked twice and intercepted twice. Dolphins corner Xavien Howard had both interceptions, as he blanketed Pats receiver Brandin Cooks. The Patriots were also 0-11 on third down. Rex Burkhead and James White scored the two New England touchdowns on the night.
New England faces their biggest game of the year next Sunday at 4:30 p.m., as they head to Pittsbugh to battle the Steelers in a battle for the top seed in the AFC.
