CORINTH- The Lee Academy Pandas made the trip into Corinth for a girls/boys doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
On the girls side, Lee scored the first basket of the game, and after that it was all Central as the Devils went to 3-0 with a 61-10 win.
Abi Allen had 20 points, and sister Sydney Allen scored 14. Emilee Cohen and Madi Speed chipped in with eight points each, as the Devils built a 35-4 halftime lead en route to the win.
Sarah Dodge had six points for the 0-4 Pandas.
Both teams are in action again Monday, as Lee travels to Penquis for a 6:30 p.m. game, while Central hosts Dexter at 7.
On the boys side, Lee was able to overcome a big Central run to stay unbeaten with a 56-44 win over the Devils.
Up 23-17 at halftime, Lee (3-0) scored the first six points of the third quarter to build a 29-17 lead. Central (0-2), would rally going on a 14-2 run to even the score at 31-31 late in the quarter. On the first play of the fourth, Scott Ferrie knocked down a three pointer to give Central their first lead at 34-33, finishing up a 17-4 run. Lee went onto score nine points in a row to go back up eight, and Central never got closer than six the rest of the way.
Sammy Huang led the way for Lee with 23 points, while Kuan Yeh scored 15. Alexey Platonov chipped in nine.
Central got 18 points from James Doucette, and Ferrie chipped in 12.
Both teams play on the road Tuesday at 7 p.m., as Lee travels to Stearns and Central travels to Dexter.
