Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 245 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had nine Rowell’s Garage female athlete of the week nominations. Kolleen Bouchard averaged 25 points, 15.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, and 6.5 blocks in leading the Houlton girls basketball team to a 2-0 week. It is the 14th athlete of the week honor for Bouchard.

Kolleen Bouchard- Houlton- basketball- recorded 23 points, 15 rebounds, 9 assists, and 7 blocks in 65-53 win over Caribou. Recorded 27 points, 16 rebounds, 6 blocks, and 4 assists in 51-37 win over Southern Aroostook.
Runner up
Lexi Ireland- PVHS – basketball- had 26 points and 10 rebounds in loss to Dexter. Had 20 points and 7 rebounds in win over Lee.

Sydney Allen- Central- basketball- recorded 22 points, four assists, and three blocks in 50-35 win over Dexter. Recorded 18 points, five assists. five steals, and five rebounds in 64-38 win over Bucksport.
Peyton Grant- Dexter- basketball – scored 20 points (7-7 FT) in 50-35 loss to Central. Scored 19 points in 74-32 win over PVHS. Scored 23 points (5 three pointers) in 55-39 win over Mattanawcook.
Mazie Smallidge- George Stevens- basketball- scored 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in 55-45 win over Bucksport.
Julianna Allen- George Stevens- basketball- scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in 55-45 win over Bucksport.
Gabby DePatsy- Medomak Valley- basketball- scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in 60-47 win over Morse.
Abi Allen- Central- Basketball – scored 17 points in 64-38 win over Bucksport.
