The New England Patriots outscored the Buffalo Bills 24-3 in the second half Sunday, to pick up a 37-16 win over their rivals from the AFC East at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
Tom Brady went 21-28 passing for 224 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. Dion Lewis rushed for 129 yards on 24 carries, and a score. Lewis also caught a TD pass. Mike Gillislee and Rob Gronkowski had the other Patriot touchdowns, and Stephen Gostkowski hit three field goals.
Tyrod Taylor went 21-38 for 281 yards passing for 8-7 Buffalo. Jordan Poyer had a 19 yard interception return for a touchdown for the only Bills score on the day. Stephen Haushka also hit three field goals.
New England (12-3), will finish the regular season by hosting the NY Jets next Sunday at 1 p.m. A Patriots win next week or Steelers loss Monday or next Sunday will give New England the #1 seed in the AFC, a first round bye, and home field throughout the AFC playoffs.
