DEXTER– Jacob Bickford recorded 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists to lead Dexter to a 60-44 win over Schenck on Friday night at Ed Guiski gymnasium.
Schenck took a 14-13 lead with 2:20 left in the first quarter. The Tigers went on a 17-3 run to take a 30-17 lead. Dexter held a 36-23 halftime lead. The Tigers put the game away when they outscored Schenck 16-4 in the third quarter. Bickford scored 12 points in the quarter.
Matt Hanscome totaled 12 points, six rebounds, and two assists. Brett Kusneirz added eight points, six rebounds, and two assists. Trevor Richards came off the bench to score seven first half points. Kobe Pillsbury and Cameron Paige put in four points each, while Nathan Richards and Matt Richards scored three and two points respectively. Dexter (7-2) will host Penquis on Wednesday night.
Riley Dionne and Travis Thompson scored 13 points each to lead the Wolverines. Colby Hannon added 10 points, while Tyrone Davis chipped in with eight points. Dionne also had five rebounds and three steals. Schenck (3-7) will travel to Machias on Monday afternoon.
