Each week during the high school sports season, Eastern Maine Sports will announce a female and male athlete of the week. You can send your nominations during the week to Marc at easternmainesports@gmail.com. When you send your nominations include the athlete, name of the school, stats for the week of the nomination. Here is a full list of the 246 past athlete of the week winners.
This week, we had six Rowell’s Garage male athlete of the week nominations. Griffin Guerrette averaged 32 points in leading Presque Isle to a 2-0 week. Guerette joins Chandler Guerrette (3-4-13), Hannah Graham (2) (1-17-15), and Madison Michaud (10-15-17) as student/athletes from Presque Isle that have earned athlete of the week honors.

Griffin Guerrette- Presque Isle- Basketball- scored 35 points in 68-64 win over Orono. Scored 29 points in 66-53 win over Caribou.
Runner up
Connor Robertson- Orono- Basketball- scored 36 points in 68-64 loss to Presque Isle. Scored 12 points in 55-38 win over Foxcroft. Scored 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in 56-55 overtime win over Old Town.
Other nominations
Bryce Gilbert- PCHS- Basketball- scored 26 points in 63-48 win over Penquis. Recorded 21 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in 77-49 win over Bangor Christian.
Cameron Kane- PCHS – Basketball- recorded 22 points, four rebounds, and three steals in 77-49 win over Bangor Christian.
Isaac Cyr- Fort Fairfield – Basketball- scored 32 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in 69-68 win over Fort Kent.
Jacob Bickford- Dexter – basketball- recorded 20 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in 60-44 win over Schenck.
