Blanca Millan had a game high 23 points Monday afternoon to lead the Maine Black Bears to a 68-59 America East womens basketball win over Vermont at the Cross Insurance Center.
Millan also added 10 rebounds, three steals, three assists, and one blocked shot as Maine improves to 10-8 overall, 3-2 America East. Tanesha Sutton added 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists. Freshman guard Dor Saar chipped in 11 points. The Bears had a season low four turnovers in the game.
Hanna Crymble had 21 points in the loss for Vermont, who drops to 5-12, 2-2. Kristina White added 11 points.
Maine returns to action Thursday on the road at Hartford to battle the Hawks at 7 p.m.
