March 24, 2018

The Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins were both on the road Friday night, and both teams came out with victories.

At Portland, Oregon the Boston Celtics trailed most of the game and by 10 at end of third quarter, but rallied for a fourth quarter comeback and a 105-100 win over the Portland TrailBlazers at the Moda Center.

Marcus Morris led the way for the 49-23 Celtics with 30 points. Boston outscored Portland 38-23 in the final quarter. Terry Rozier had 16, Jayson Tatum had 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists, Al Horford had 11 points, and Greg Monroe added a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

C.J. McCollum had 26 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Damian Lillard also had 26 points and seven assists for the 44-28 Blazers. Al-Farouq Aminu also added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Boston continues their four game road trip in Sacramento Sunday evening at 6 p.m.

At the America Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, the Boston Bruins also made a late rally to knock off the Dallas Stars 3-2.

Boston trailed 2-0 at the end of two periods, but goals by Brad Marchand and Tim Schaller in the third period tied the game 2-2. David Pastrnak provided the dramatics scoring his 29th goal of the season with just 11.1 seconds left to secure the win for the 46-17-10 Bruins. Pastrnak won a battle in the corner, and shuffled the puck to Marchand in the left faceoff circle. Marchands shot pass found Pastrnaks stick, who collected it and in one motion whirled around Dallas goalie Kari Lehtonen and deposited it into a half empty cage past an out of position Lehtonen while falling to the ice.

Esa Lindell and Jamie Benn scored first and second period goals respectively for the 38-29-8 Dallas Stars. Marchand added a pair of assists on the night, and Pastrnak also added an assist. Boston was 0-3 on the powerplay, and Tuuka Rask earned the win in net with 40 saves. Dallas went 0-4 on the extra man attack, and Lehtonen made 33 saves in the loss.

Boston will be in Minnesota to battle the Wild Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
