Peyton Grant voted Eastern Maine Sports girls basketball player of the year

Peyton Grant averaged 17 points a game during the 2017/2018 season for the Dexter Lady Tigers. On Sunday evening, Grant was named Eastern Maine Sports Girls basketball player of the year. The freshman helped the Tigers reach the Northern Maine Regional final where Dexter fell in overtime to Houlton. Grant shot 40% from two point range, 37% from three-point range, and 84% from the free throw line. She also averaged 3.2 assists, along with two steals and two rebounds per game. She poured in a total of 355 points during the season.

Grant edged out Sydney Allen from Central in the voting. Grant had 57 more votes than Allen. The full results are below.
