The battle for the top spot in the NHL Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference is going to come down to the regular seasons final day. Boston did their part at least Saturday night, by topping the Ottawa Senators 5-2 at TD Garden.

Boston (50-19-12) fell behind 1-0, but went on to score five of the final six goals of the game. David Pastrnak, Tommy Wingels, Danton Heinen, Noel Acciari, and David Backes all had Bruin goals. Heinen also added an assist. Ryan Dzingel had both goals for 28-43-11 Ottawa. Anton Khudobin made 26 saves in the Bruins net in the win, while Daniel Taylor stopped 30 in the loss for the Sens. Boston was 1-4 on the powerplay, while Ottawa was 0-2.

Tampa Bay played their final game Saturday night, losing to Carolina in overtime. Tampa now has 113 points, Boston has 112. Boston needs a regulation win or to take Florida to overtime Sunday night to win the Atlantic, and capture the top spot in the conference. Panthers and Bruins square off at 7:30 p.m. at TD Garden. Florida beat Boston 3-2 Thursday at Sunrise, Florida.
