Jaylen Brown scored 32 points, and Greg Monroe had his second career triple double to lead the Boston Celtics past the Chicago Bulls 111-104 to end a two game losing streak Friday night at the TD Garden.
Brown added four rebounds and two assists, shooting 11-19 from the floor (7-10 three point range). Monroe had 19 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, and a blocked shot. Jabari Bird added 15 points. Marcus Morris added 12 points, before him and Chicago guard Bobby Portis were ejected in fourth quarter. Jonathan Gibson, who the Celtics signed from China for last four games of season made his first three shots all from behind the arc to add nine points (3-5). Gibson averaged 33 points in China, including a game where he nailed 12 three point shots in a game. Boston is now 54-25.
Sean Kirkpatrick had 24 points for the 27-52 Bulls. Lauri Markkanen added 20. The Celtics next play Sunday at 1 p.m. at home vs Atlanta.
