Eduardo Rodriguez pitched six strong innings to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 7-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park on Friday night.
Eduardo Nunez belted a three run home run to cap a four run first inning for the Red Sox. Rodriguez (1-0) allowed his only run in the first inning. He was brilliant for the next five innings. Rodriguez allowed five hits and one walk, while striking out eight.
Nunez, JD Martinez, Rafael Devers, and Tzu-Wei Lin all had multiple hits, including Devers going 3-5. The Red Sox and Orioles will play game two of their four game series on Saturday afternoon at 1.
