The Boston Red Sox bullpen pitched four shutout innings as they rallied for a 3-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles at a frigid Fenway Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Sox scored one run in the fifth inning and two more in the sixth to overcome an early deficit.
Andrew Benintendi had three hits, including a run scoring triple. Benintendi was a home run shy of a cycle. Mitch Moreland also had three hits, while Tzu-Wei Lin had two hits and one RBI.
Chris Sale allowed one run on two hits and two walks, while striking out eight in five innings. Heath Hembree (2-0) pitched two innings, allowing one hit and striking out two. Matt Barnes and Craig Kimbrel also pitched a scoreless inning. Kimbrel struck out two in the ninth to record his fifth save.

They are scheduled to host the Orioles in their annual Patriots day game on Monday morning at 11:05 AM. That game is in doubt because of the forecast. The Red Sox will open up a three game series against the Angels at LA on Tuesday night. The Angels are 13-3 so far this season. A great pitching matchup is scheduled as David Price to face Shohei Ohtani.
