Kobe Rogerson and Andrew Kiley had three hits each to lead the Brewer Witches to a 10-3 win over Gardiner in a season opening baseball game at Brewer on Tuesday morning.
Rogerson led off the bottom of the first inning with an inside the park home run down the right field line. The Witches scored four runs in the second inning and put the game away with five more in the fifth inning.
Josiah Cyr earned the win on the mound for the Witches. Cyr allowed only three runs on one hit in five innings. He walked five and struck out four. Levi Williamson and Rogerson each pitched a scoreless inning of relief.
Rogerson and Cyr each had three RBI. Evan Andrews recorded two hits. Rogerson and Pearson scored two runs each.
Alic Shorey, Chandler Moran, and Garrett Lunt had the hits for the Tigers. Logan Porter suffered the loss on the mound. Porter allowed eight runs on eight hits and one walk, while striking out three in four innings.
