Noah Missbrenner did it with his arm and bat in leading the Bangor Rams to a 4-1 victory over Brewer in a high school baseball game played at Mahaney Diamond on the campus of the University of Maine on Monday afternoon.
Missbrenner scattered seven hits while allowing only one run in five innings. He walked one, struck out two, and was very efficient. Missbrenner threw 66 pitches (42 strikes). Carson Prouty pitched the final two innings to earn the save for Rams. Prouty didn’t allow a hit.
Missbrenner powered the offense with two hits and two RBI. Zach Murray also had two hits for the Rams. Bangor has started the season with three wins. They have only allowed five runs in those three games.
Levi Williamson and Evan Andrews had two hits each for the Witches. Josiah Cyr suffered the loss on the mound. He allowed four runs on six hits and two walks, while striking out three in five innings. Brewer (2-1) will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Oceanside.
