Rob Gronkowski, the New England Patriots Pro Bowl tight end, met with Patriots head coach Bill Belichik with his agent Drew Rosenhaus present on Tuesday.
According to ESPNs Adam Schefter, Rosenhaus said that it was a very positive meeting and Rob is very committed, and plans to play with the Patriots come the start of the 2018 NFL season.
At end of this past season, Gronkowski had hinted at retirement. Gronkowski is under contract with the Patriots, but with trade rumors this announcement could make that possible if New England decides to go that route. Gronk caught 69 passes in 2017-18, for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns. Rob played 14 games last season, missing one game with a thigh injury and another because of a suspension. He was also knocked out of the AFC title game vs Jacksonsville with a concussion.
