Curtis Granderson hit a walk-off homer off Craig Kimbrel (0-1) to give the Toronto Blue Jays a 4-3 win over the Boston Red Sox in 10 innings at Toronto on Tuesday night.
The Red Sox battled back from a deficit with two runs in the ninth inning. Hanley Ramirez, Eduardo Nunez, and Brock Holt had big hits during the rally.
Rick Porcello pitched seven strong innings in a losing effort. Porcello allowed three runs on three hits and three walks, while striking out nine. Porcello’s ERA is now 1.93 through five starts.
Holt and Ramirez had three hits each. Game two of the series will be Wednesday night with Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound for the Red Sox.
